Enrolment of Students

The St Clair School Board of Trustees thanks you for your interest in having your child join us at St Clair School.

St Clair School accepts students from New Entrant to Year 6 at any stage of the school year. Although the school operates under the limitations of an enrolment scheme (zone map), we endeavor to enroll all children who apply for admission. We currently have spaces for Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children (both in-zone and out-of-zone). Spaces are available for a limited number of out-of-zone New Entrants, however constraints currently prevent the enrolment of out-of-zone Year 1 and 2 children. Our enrolment scheme provides automatic right of entry for children living within our enrolment zone. Children outside of our zone are admitted in priority order (as space allows), based on the following criteria;

• Sibling of current pupil
• Sibling of a former pupil
• Child of a staff member
• All other applicants.

If the number of out-of-zone children seeking admission exceeds the number of spaces available, a ballot is held.

Based on current roll projections, we anticipate being able to accept all New Entrant enrolments. Due to the nature of the regulations relating to enrolment schemes , final confirmation of enrolment eligibility can only be made by direct contact with the school office.
