Dr Rachael McLean - Board Chair

Rachael was elected to the Board in 2007. She is a Community Health Specialist and has spent 10 years in General Practice. She currently works in Public Health and sees the ongoing promotion of a healthy environment for children as an important part of her role.
Rachael is married to Jonathon and has one child at St Clair School.

Michael Cumming

Michael was appointed as a Board member in May 2011 following a casual vacancy on the Board.

He moved to Dunedin from Nelson in 1987 and is an Automation Manager for Switchbuild a local electrical manufacturing firm.

Michael and Andrea have one child at St Clair School – Samuel.

Debbie Nicolson

Debbie is in her first-term as a Board member. She is Head of Commerce/ICT Learning at Queens High School and has had previous governance experience as Chair of the Queens High Pre-School

Debbie is married to John has one child at St Clair School - James.

Conrad Stedman

Elected to the board in 2010, Conrad and wife Bridget both grew up in St Clair. After living on Waiheke Island for a number of years, they moved back to St Clair & their two children currently attend St Clair School.

Conrad has been on a number of community based comittees over the years from Sports Clubs to Rotary. Conrad is a former Policeman, business owner and is currently in Real Estate.

Staff Representative - Robyn Wood

Our Board's Staff Representative is Robyn Wood. Robyn is our Deputy Principal and also leads our Middle Learning Team.

Principal - Richard Newton

Richard has been Principal of St Clair School since 1999. He has been involved in education for over 30 years, with more than 20 years as a principal.

Richard is a former Woolf Fisher Fellow and is actively involved in local and national education forums.

Richard is married and has 4 children. His interests include mountain-biking and home renovation.

Minute Secretary / Exec Officer - Bev Mulconroy

As minute Secretary, Bev provides the Board with specialist secretarial services. Although not a member of the Board, Bev's expertise is invaluable.
