Principal - Richard Newton (MEd, BEd, Dip Tch)

Richard has been Principal of St Clair School since 1999. He has been involved in primary education for over 30 years, with more than 20 of those years as a principal.

Richard is a former Woolf Fisher Fellow and is actively involved in local and national education matters.

Richard is married and has 4 children. His interests include mountain-biking and home renovation.

Executive Officer - Bev Mulconroy

Bev joined our team in late 2007. She provides a cheerful welcome for new parents and is a valuable source of information about the school.

As Executive Officer, Bev undertakes work associated with school finances and oversees the operation of the school's administration. Bev also coordinates Richard's appointments and is a useful first-point-of-contact for many school administration matters.

Library & Office Support - Vicky Caswell

Vicky has two main roles in the school: clerical support with key responsibility for pupil records and School Librarian with responsibility for overall management of the library collection. If a job needs doing, this is the lady to see - thorough, efficient and effective.

Music Specialist - Alison Caldwell

Alison has been providing specialist music programmes for St Clair School pupils since mid-2006. In that time we have seen our music programmes develop and grow significatly. Alison has an enthusiasm for her work which sees children achieving high standards within a varied and stimulating programme. Alison also coordinates our school ensemble and guitar groups.

Physical Education Specialist- Sally Marett

Sally is our school physical education specialist, providing specially designed programmes for all classes. Programmes include skill development, problem solving, cooperative activities for older children and PMP (the Perceptual Motor Programme) for juniors. Sally also coordinates many of our school sports teams, providing support to coaches and weekly draws for parents.

Literacy Specialist- Claudia Cook-Green

Claudia brings specialist skills to our team, teaching Reading Recovery and junior literacy programmes daily.

Claudia is a very experienced classroom teacher and works effectively to get the best from our junior learners.

Caretaker - Roy Robertson

Roy is a key member of our team, ensuring that the school is well-presented for our children and staff. He works tirelessly to keep our school property tidy, safe and functional.

Administration - Ann Loo

Every organisation needs someone who can undertake a job and see it through with care and commitment. Ann is such a person. She works in the office and makes sure that any 'loose ends' are quickly sorted and tidied.
