Richard has been the Principal of St Clair School since 1999. He has
been involved in primary education for over 35 years, with over 25 of those years as a principal.
Richard is a former Woolf
Fisher Fellow and is actively involved in local and national education organisations. He works on a number of principal professional development bodies and is a national First Time Principals Mentor.
Richard is married and has 4 adult children. His interests include mountain-biking, sailing and gardening.

Officer - Mrs Bev Mulconroy
Bev leads our helpful office team. She provides a cheerful welcome
for parents and is a valuable source of information about the
As Executive Officer, Bev undertakes work associated with school
finances and oversees the operation of the school's administration. Bev also coordinates Richard's appointments and is a useful first-point-of-contact for many school matters.
& Office Support - Mrs Vicky Caswell
Vicky has two main roles in the school: clerical support with key
responsibility for pupil records, and school librarian with responsibility
for overall management of the library collection. If a job needs
doing, this is the lady to see - thorough, efficient and effective.
Specialist - Mrs Alison Caldwell
Alison is a highly skilled music specialist. She has an enthusiasm
for her work which sees children achieving high standards within
a varied and stimulating music programme. Alison also coordinates our
school ensemble and guitar groups.
Education Specialist- Ms Sally Marett
Sally is our school physical education specialist, providing specially
designed programmes for all classes. Programmes include skill development,
problem solving, cooperative activities for older children and PMP
(the Perceptual Motor Programme) for juniors. Sally also coordinates our school sports teams, providing support to coaches and weekly draws for parents.
Literacy Specialist - Ms Megan Pelvin
Megan brings specialist skills to our team, teaching Reading Recovery and junior literacy programmes daily.
Through her well organised programme, Megan ensures that critical literacy skills are acquired smoothly.
Numeracy Specialist - Mrs Pat Henderson
Pat brings many years of experience to our specialist numeracy role. Through focussed acceleration programmes Pat ensures that key numeracy skills are readily acquired.
School Counsellor - Ms Sue Stephenson
Sue is a registered counsellor and uses her specialist skills to support children, usually in a 1:1 setting.
Referrals to Sue's service can be made through the school office. Please contact Executive Officer Bev Mulconroy for further details or to receive a referral form.
- Mrs Ann Loo
Every organisation needs someone who can undertake a job and see
it through with care and commitment. Ann is such a person. She works
in the office and makes sure that any 'loose ends' are quickly sorted

Our caretaker, and associated team of cleaners, are key members of our team, ensuring that the school is safe, tidy and well-presented for our children and staff.
