Room 1 - Ann Stevenson - Team Leader (AP)

Ann is the Team Leader for our Junior Learning Team. She teaches an energetic and enthusistic group of young learners in Room 1. In addition to her teaching and leadership roles, Ann also coordinates our school kapa haka group and leads our school dance programme.

Room 2 - Kate Clydesdale.

Kate joined our team in 2004. Currently she teaches one of our three New Entrant groups. Kate brings her experience as a Reading Recovery teacher to her classroom role, ensuring that key literacy and numeracy skills are aquired smoothly.

Kate also has ongoing responsibility for our library and supports many aspects of our school's Arts programmes.

Room 3 - Jo Pledger

Jo teaches our latest New Entrant group. Jo is an experienced teacher who provides a a warm welcome to our newest pupils. Jo's programme promotes early literacy and numeracy skills within a stimulating and caring environment.

Room 4 - Pat Henderson

Pat teaches a Year 1 and 2 group. She is a vastly experienced teacher who provides a depth of experience and maturity to our junior team. In addition to the delivery of strong literacy programmes, Pat has a special interest in music.

Room 5 - Michelle Reece.

Michelle joined our team in 2008. Michelle provides a warm and safe welcome for our newest learners, and as one of our New Entrant teachers, has the specific skills needed to ensure a prompt start to formal learning for all children in her care.

Room 6 - Shannon Te Huna

Shannon joins us this year after a number of years of highly successful teaching at several Otago schools. Shannon is a successful and creative teacher with special strengths in junior literacy and a keen interest in sustainability and ecology.

Room 15 - Brigid Fyfe

Brigid joined our team at the start of term 3, 2010 and brings both experience and youth to her work. Brigid, has well developed understandings of education theory and a strong background in junior education. Her warm manner ensures children in her care have a happy and stimulating day.

Carol Brown (Literacy Specialist)

Carol is one of our longest serving members of staff and during her time at our school has undertaken most teaching and leadership roles at some stage.

Currently, Carol delivers our literacy support programmes including Reading Recovery and Literacy enrichment.

Room 1 and 4 - Chrissy McCready

Chrissy co-teaches in Room 1 and Room 4. Chrissy has many years of experience in the teaching of junior students. She is flexible and provides a warm, stimulating and happy environment for the children in her care.

Learning Support - Helen Thomson

Helen has been a member of our support staff for a number of years, with an association with the school spanning almost two decades. She has an extensive background in education and in the past has also been a lead teacher in a local kindergarten.
