Roll Growth - fixed term New Entrant teacher

We are seeking a passionate teacher who will thrive working in an ILE. This teacher will be focused on developing student agency and play-based learning and committed to ensuring a smooth transition to school for children and their families. An inspiring teacher with experience in a New Entrant classrooms would be preferred. The fixed term position is for term 4, 2019.

kaiako/teachers - full-time fixed-term parental leave - 2 positions

We are seeking passionate teachers, with a growth mindframe, who will thrive working in an ILE. These teachers will be focused on developing learner agency and will be committed to being part of a collaborative team environment. We need inspiring, culturally responsive teachers, with a personal drive to be constantly learning and growing as teachers and learners. The teaching levels for 2020 are likely to be in years 1-4, however successful applicants must be open to teaching at any level within our year 1-6 school.

We will be looking for sound literacy, mathematical and inquiry skills as well as an eagerness to engage with learning through play as part of our curriculum. An ability to foster positive relationships with our tamariki, whānau and colleagues is essential.

In preparing your application, please briefly highlight your personal strengths, skills and experience. Positions commence term 1, 2020 and are for the 2020 school year.

Learning Support Coordinator - Vacancy

We are a cluster of four thriving and vibrant schools on the beach side of Dunedin, fortunate to be granted three of the new Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) roles. These positions are permanent, non-teaching and full-time. Therefore, we are seeking experienced registered teachers who are passionate about making a difference for our children. The successful applicants will work collaboratively with students, teachers, whānau and agencies across our cluster of schools - Musselburgh, St Clair, Tahuna Intermediate and Tainui, to support the learning journeys of a range of students, their whānau and kaiako team. These collaborative and innovative positions commence at the start of 2020.

This advertisement will fill two of the positions from the cluster. To be considered, applicants will be registered experienced teachers who have:

  • Demonstrated successful experience in working with children and young people with learning support needs in the classroom
  • A sound knowledge, commitment to, and understanding of the learning support system and the Learning Support Action Plan priorities
  • The ability to engage at a school or kura and cluster leadership level
  • Influencing skills at a working level within a school or kura and the wider cluster
  • Understanding of Te Ao Māori
  • A current teaching practising certificate and relevant teaching qualification
  • Met professional standards relevant to their current position.
