We use the Better Start Literacy Approach, a respected program developed by researchers at the University of Canterbury.
Our teaching directly guides kids through the building blocks of language, moving step-by-step from letter sounds to advanced word structures and vocabulary.
We connect reading, writing, and speaking directly into everyday classroom projects, keeping learning practical and engaging.

Reading & Writing

Students get a great mix of whole-class lessons and small-group attention every day.
We focus on strong fundamentals—like explicit phonics, handwriting, and sentence structure—alongside regular daily reading.
As kids progress, we shift the focus to critical thinking, independent research, and reading for fun

Speaking & Listening

Regular classroom conversations give students space to express their thoughts, build confidence, and grow their vocabulary.
